Western Conference Injury Update

Sean Shapiro: Dallas Stars defenseman Andrej Sekera won’t be in the lineup tonight but he could be ready on the weekend.

Forward Blake Comeau is seven to 10 days away.

There is no time for defenseman Roman Polak.

Paul Skrbina: Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg said he “getting there.” He wouldn’t say when he’ll return.

Forward Matt Duchene practiced yesterday. He missed Saturday’s game.

San Jose Sharks: The Sharks have sent defenseman Radim Simek to the AHL on a conditioning stint.

Chris Pinkert of NHL.com: St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko will be re-evaluated in five months as he requires left shoulder surgery. He will be placed the LTIR.

SinBin.Vegas: Vegas Golden Knights forward Alex Tuch was practicing with the third line. A good sign that he’ll be returning soon.

SinBin.Vegas: The Golden Knights have activated defenseman Nate Schmidt from the IR. He’ll likely return on Thursday.

David Schoen: Golden Knights coach Gerard Galland said that defenseman Deryk Engelland has a lower-body injury and is day-to-day.

Ted Wyman: Winnipeg Jets head coach Paul Maurice said that forward Patrik Laine is a little dinged up and that it is nothing serious. They will see how he’s feeling today before saying if he’ll be in the lineup tonight.

Ted Wyman: Jets coach Maurice said that defenseman Nathan Beaulieu could be an option on Friday or Saturday. He’s had two practices in a no-contact jersey.

“He’s now where he can get into controlled bumping. He may be available for us at the end of this trip, whether it’s San Jose, Vegas. If he’s feeling real good we’ll consider him and if he’s not we’ll just push it back. But he’s right there.”
