WGR 550: John Shannon on WGR 550 on the trade front: “I don’t think there will be many trades today and tomorrow. If anything, I’m hearing more defensemen on the market, but not many centers that are available.”
Krueger believes he can fix Ristolainen
WGR 550: Shannon on Rasmus Ristolainen: “This is one rumor that hasn’t gone away for a while now. There was a lot of interest in Ristolainen. It’s not going to go away any time soon, but Ralph Krueger is one of those guys that will make a player better, and he believes that. If he can get in the right head space with Ristolainen, then he might be okay.”
WGR 550: Darren Dreger on the available defensemen: “This year’s trade market is different from years past with the fact that there are more defensemen available than normal. Ristolainen is a bit unique. The #Sabres will listen to any offers, but I don’t get the sense that Botterill is throwing Ristolainen’s name out there”

Maple Leafs feel Kadri can be valuable to the team
WGR 550: Shannon on Toronto Maple Leafs Nazem Kadri: “I don’t think Nazem Kadri is getting traded. The only question is are the Leafs tired of his act? They have talked, and they believe they can make him a valuable member of this hockey club.”
Barrie trade talk picks up
Darren Dreger: Trade talk involving Colorado Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie seemed to pick up as the day went along yesterday.
There were also some trade rumblings involving Avs Carl Soderberg.
Teams calling about Gostisbehere
Pierre LeBrun: A few teams have been calling the Philadelphia Flyers about left-handed defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere after they acquired two defensemen earlier this week.
Believe that the Flyers would prefer to keep him but they are listening.
The Montreal Canadiens may have been one of the teams that inquired.
