Forward Sean Monahan was given a maintenance day, “but he’s dealing with some stuff as well.” Forward Boone Jenner and defenseman Erik Gudbranson are skating and progressing.
Tom Gazzola: Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is expected to return to the lineup this weekend. Forward Kasperi Kapanen is getting close to being ready to return.
Gerry Moddejonge: Oilers forward Trent Frederic left last night’s game in the third period after blocking a shot. There was no update after the game.
Amanda Stein: New Jersey Devils forward Evgenii Dadonov is doubtful for tonight’s game. He suffered an injury on Monday night and wasn’t any better yesterday.

TSN: Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk said that he’ll return to the lineup on Friday.
Seth Rorabaugh: Pittsburgh Penguins forwards Noel Acciari, Justin Brazeau, and Filip Hallander skated before practice. All three are on the IR.
