Wes Crosby: Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Peeke returned to the lineup last night after missing Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury.

Craig Merz: Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Elvis Merzlikins left last night’s game in the first period with an illness.

Wes Crosby: Dallas Stars forward Mikko Rantanen missed last night’s game due to illness.

Dan Greenspan: Los Angeles Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper left last night’s game in the first period with an upper-body injury after a collision with Rangers forward Jonny Brodzinski. Coach Jim Hiller didn’t have an update after the game. They’ll know more today, and before they leave on a six-game road trip.

Defenseman Drew Doughty missed last night’s game due to illness.

NHL Trade: Vancouver Canucks Trade Kiefer Sherwood to the San Jose Sharks

NHL: Minnesota Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin has been out since January 12th and is week-to-week. He was placed on the IR on January 15th. He missed four games in December with the same injury. His status for Team Sweden in the Olympics.

Sam Hallam, the coach of Team Sweden, yesterday on Brodin and Leo Carlsson: “We’ll give it a few more days to see if anything extraordinary happens, but currently we are operating under the assumption they won’t be playing in the Olympics.”

Eric Engels: Montreal Canadiens forward Alexandre Texier is out with a lower-body injury.

Sean Farrell: Canadiens forward Kirby Dach returned to the lineup after being out since November 15th with a broken foot.

Robby Stanley: Nashville Predators forward Ozzy Wiesblatt returned to the lineup last night after missing the past 21 games with an upper-body injury.

NHL Injuries: Ducks, Avs, Sabres, Panthers, Wild, Habs, Devils, Leafs, and More

TSN: Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is on a conditioning stint with the Toronto Marlies (AHL), and when he’s ready to return, Dennis Hildeby (waiver exempt) will be sent back to the Marlies as the Leafs don’t want to carry three goalies, according to Chris Johnston. Stolarz isn’t expected to play in any games for the Marlies, but will get more practice reps with them, as the Leafs don’t have many options to practice.
