Calgary Flames are not finished dealing

Update 10:40: Bob McKenzie of TSN There’s a chance this deal won’t happen today, and maybe not at all. The Flames aren’t ready to pull the trigger just yet, with one reason being they want Jokinen in the lineup tonight. The deal may also not happen as Ales Kotalik may not waive his no-trade clause to go to Calgary.

8:00 am: It looks like the Calgary Flames aren’t finished dealing. TSN is reporting that they will be sending Olli Jokinen and Brandon Prust to the New York Rangers for Ales Kotalik and Christopher Higgins.

The Flames had acquired Jokinen at the trade deadline day last year, and he hasn’t been the #1 center for Jarome Iginla that they had hoped.

Kotalik has been a healthy scratch for 8 of the last 9 games. He signed a 3 year, $9 million deal in the off-season.
