On the Blues …

  • Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post Dispatch: Patrik Berglund skated for an hour on Wednesday and over an hour yesterday. He had offseason shoulder surgery and isn’t scheduled to return until January.

“He looks really good,” Hitchcock said. “I’m no medical doctor, but he looks good. He’s skating hard, he’s shooting pucks. It’s a good sign. He’s got a ways to go yet, but it’s nice to see him back on the ice and able to participate with some of the guys on these skates.”

  • Blues Robby Fabbri and Kevin Shattenkirk could return to the lineup tomorrow.

On the Flyers …

  • Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post: Flyers Sean Couturier is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
  • Flyers Michal Neuvirth is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

On the Bruins …

  • Joe Haggerty: Bruins Matt Beleskey missed practice again yesterday with an upper-body injury, but did travel with the team and could be a possibility against the Islanders.

On the Predators …

  • Adam Vingan of The Tennessean: Predators defenseman Ryan Ellis returned to the lineup last night

On the Senators …

  • Wayne Scanlan: Senators coach Dave Cameron didn’t provide an update on Mike Hoffman’s lower-body injury.
  • Bruce Garrioch: Senators Marc Methot was back at practice yesterday.

On the Penguins …

  • DK Pittsburgh Sports: Penguins Pascal Dupuis was cleared to return to the Penguins lineup last night.
  • Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Penguins Nick Bonino left last night’s game in the third period after taking an elbow to the nose from Stars defenseman Jason Demers.

      On the Sharks …

  • Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area: Sharks Joe Thornton left last night’s game in the first period with what looked like a head injury. He had trouble standing up, falling over twice. He did return in the second. Coach Pete DeBoer said that he went through concussion protocol and was cleared.
