- Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Blues Carl Gunnarsson has been cleared to play. He suffered a concussion on December 6th from an elbow by Islanders Anders Lee.
“He’s cleared head-wise and now it’s conditioning-wise,” Hitchcock said. “How he conditions after today and then gets through tomorrow’s practice will determine when he’s ready to play, but he’s cleared from a fitness standpoint because of the injury he had. We’re not prepared to put him in full until we feel like his hip has loosened up to where he’s ready to go and we don’t have any repercussions there.”
T.J. Oshie missed last night’s game due to family reasons.

“I knew that it was something you don’t really want to mess with,” said Bishop, who didn’t return to the game following the first intermission and is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury. “It was 1:15 left, we were on the power play, so I wasn’t going to leave the game right then and there because it’s not too often you have too many shots on the power play. I figured I could hold out until then.”
He hopes to be back on either Friday or Saturday.
