  • Patrick Williams of NHL.com: The Jets will be without Dustin Byfuglien for two to four weeks with an upper-body injury.

    “It may be longer than this trip,” Maurice said of Little, who will make the road trip. “There’s a chance he plays toward the end of it. There is a chance we’ll know more in 5-7 days on that.”

    Mark Stuart took a puck to the face yesterday and his status isn’t known yet.

    “A stick came up and lifted my helmet, and at the same time I got hit by the puck on my neck, and in that moment I snapped my neck so hard that I sprained – they call it sprained – a blood vessel in my neck,” Lundqvist said, pointing to the back of his neck.

    Scott Powers: Blackhawks Johnny Oduya (upper-body) practiced yesterday for the first time since suffering the injury on Feb. 22nd. Coach Quenneville said he’d likely return against the Coyotes on March 12th.

  • David Pollak: Sharks Matt Irwin left practice yesterday with an upper-body injury.

    “He tweaked something shooting a puck, and went off just as a precaution, right now,” coach Todd McLellan said. “We’ll see how he is after some treatment and in the morning. Don’t know if he’ll be available.”

  • Terry Frei: Avs Nathan MacKinnon is out for six to eight weeks with a broken foot.
  • Nicholas Goss: Bruins Gregory Campbell is a possibility for tonight.
  • Murray Pam: Sabres Chad Johnson suffered a lower-body injury at yesterday’s skate. Andrey Markorov had to be recalled.
  • Mark Stepneski: Not much new to report on Stars Valeri Nichushkin’s recovery. It’s still looking like the middle of the month. Coach Lindy Ruff isn’t sure if he’ll be starting in the NHL or AHL.
  • Pro Hockey Talk: Predators Eric Nystrom will be out a month with a lower-body injury.
  • Bryan Burns: Lightning’s J.T. Brown has to meet with trainers about his upper-body injury, but his progress is going well.
  • Bruce Garrioch: Senators Zack Smith has been cleared for contact. There is no timetable, and he still may not return this season.
  • Chip Alexander: The Hurricanes have activated Ryan Murphy off the IR.
