  • Louis Jean: Carey Price will miss at least one week with a right leg injury. It’s the same diagnosis as last time – he missed three weeks.

On the Oilers …

  • NHL.com: Nail Yakupov is expected to be out for two to four weeks with a sprained left ankle.

    “It could’ve been significantly worse based on what happened,” Oilers coach Todd McLellan said Thursday. “Hopefully he heals quickly.”

On the Stars …

  • Mark Stepneski: Stars GM Jim Nill said that Kari Lehtonen could be out for five to seven days.

On the Sabres …

  • John Vogl of the Buffalo News: Robin Lehner is at the seven week mark in his six to 10 week scheduled recovery for a high ankle sprain. He had a ‘boot’ on yesterday, something that he had gotten rid of.

    “I don’t think I would call it a setback,” coach Dan Bylsma said in First Niagara Center. “He got to a point where he started upping his rehab level and that’s where he had to back off that a little bit. He kind of tried to take the next step, and the next step, he has to wait a little bit longer on that.”

    Byslma noted that it’s a longer recovery for a goalie than it is for skaters.

On the Wild …

  • Michael Russo of the Star Tribune: Zach Parise said his knee is progressing and felt “comfortable doing everything” during yesterday’s practice. He is hopeful for today’s game.
  • Minnesota Wild: Marco Scandella skated on his own yesterday, but don’t expect him to play this weekend.
  • Minnesota Wild: Coach Mike Yeo doesn’t expect Justin Fontaine to play today.

  • Curtis Zupka of the LA Times: Frederik Andersen is still out with an illness and likely not available today according to coach Bruce Boudreau.

  • Boston Bruins: Kevan Miller was back on the ice yesterday. He’s missed the past four games with an upper-body injury.
  • Fluto Shinzawa: Miller was out with a concussion.
