On the Canadiens …
- Montreal Canadiens: Carey Price will return from his injury and will start tonight.
- Arpon Basu: Torrey Mitchel won’t be traveling with the team because of a lower-body injury.
On the Blues …
- Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post Dispatch: Paul Stastny has been on the ice six times and joined the team on the ice for the first time since his injury. A recent x-ray showed the break has healed substantially, but it’s not fully healed.
“It feels really good, but with this injury, it’s got to heal all the way,” Stastny said. “Now it’s just more about practicing with the guys, moving the puck around, talk to the doctors, get an X-ray every couple of days and see where it’s at. Once I’m cleared, I should be good to go. If I had a date in mind, I’d tell you. But I just don’t know.”
Coach Ken Hitchcock on Stastny.
“He’s been skating for days now,” Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. “He’s not cleared yet, but with all the stuff he’s been doing, once he’s cleared, then he’ll be able to just come in and play games right away. I don’t think there’s going to be an adjustment phase as far as having him go and having him participate in some practices. He’s all the way back except waiting for medical clearance, and that isn’t there yet.”
