  • Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: The Blue Jackets have activated Boone Jenner from the IR and he’ll be in the lineup tonight. Artem Anisimov (concussion) and Cody Goloubef (knee) were put on the IR. Matt Calvert will meet with doctors to see if he can get clearance to return to the lineup. Goloubef is expected to be out for six weeks.
  • Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Penguins Olli Maatta won’t be in the lineup as he’ll be in Minnesota for the surgery to remove the tumor from his thyroid gland. He’s expected to be out for four weeks.
  • Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press: Red Wings Kyle Quincey (ankle) skated yesterday, but is doubtful against the Senators. Stephen Weiss’ groin is improving.

“We’re expecting him to slowly begin skating this week and hopefully get him better every day with no setbacks,” Holland said.

  • Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area: Sharks defenseman Scott Hannan missed practice yesterday with an upper-body injury that doesn’t appear to be long-term. He left Saturday’s game in the first period with an undisclosed injury after being hit by Cal Clutterbuck. It appeared that he hit his head on the glass.
  • Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly: Flyers Braydon Coburn practiced yesterday for the first time since Oct. 21st and reported no pain.

“I thought it was good to get the warm-up in and see how it reacts and go from there tomorrow,” he said.

  • Elliott Pap: Canucks GM Jim Benning on Kevin Bieksa’s eye injury: “I don’t think it’s as serious as what people think it is.”
  • Chad Graff: Wild’s Keith Ballard is a little ways away from returning to the lineup. Still recovering from an illness.
  • Chad Graff: Wild’s Ryan Carter is questionable for today. He’ll test his upper-body injury this morning to see if he can play tonight.
  • Stephen Whyno: The Oilers have put Taylor Hall on the IR.
  • James Mirtle: The Maple Leafs put Joffrey Lupul on the IR.
  • Pittsburgh Penguins: Beau Bennett has been cleared for contact.
  • Andrew Gross: No update on Rangers Kevin Klein’s left foot contusion as it usually takes three or four days for the swelling to go down.
  • Rich Chere: Devils Martin Havlat is still skating on his own. Mike Cammalleri hasn’t started skating, but should soon.
  • Erik Erlendsson: Lightning’s Alex Killorn is day-to-day and unlikely to play on Thursday.
