  • Joe Smith: Lightning’s Matt Carle is out six to eight weeks with a torn abductor muscle in his abdomen.
  • Kevin Kurz: Sharks Justin Braun and Tommy Wingels were injured last night and will both be out awhile according to coach Todd McLellan.
  • Philadelphia Flyers: Nick Schultz and Carlo Colaiacovo are out with upper-body injuries. Update on status later today.
  • Jon Rosen: Kings activated Robyn Regehr from the IR and put Martin Jones on the IR with back spasms. He can’t return until after the all-star break.
  • Tom Gulitti: Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said that Jaromir Jagr and Tuomo Ruutu have been skating in New Jersey. Indications are that they will be ready to return for their first game after the break.
  • Craig Morgan: The Coyotes have now listed Mikkel Boedker as week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
  • Kristen Odland: The Flames put Curtis Glencross on the IR with a lower-body injury.
  • James Mirtle: Stephane Robidas has been dealing with an upper-body injury for two months. They will rest him now.
  • Mike Brophy: Leafs Peter Holland and Joffrey Lupul skated before practice yesterday. Leo Komarov skated with the main group but didn’t play. Michael Traikos: Komarov could be held out on Wednesday as well.
  • Dan Rosen: Islanders Mikhail Grabovski and Lubomir Visnovsky are both skating and getting closer to returning. Grabovski is closer and could be back right after the break.
  • Rob Mixer: The Blue Jackets activated Jack Skille off the IR.
  • Mike Halford: Canadiens P.A. Parenteau is out with a concussion.
  • LW3H: Man games lost and CHIP (cap hit of injured players) – through Jan. 18th.CHIP Jan 18th
