  • Farhan Lalji: Canucks Ryan Miller will not be back before the playoffs.
  • Elliott Pap: Canucks GM Jim Benning in a text after Lalji’s report: “I haven’t heard that Ryan (Miller) is going to be out longer than expected.”
  • Ansar Khan: Red Wings Pavel Datsyuk will miss at least the next two games with a lower-body injury. Coach Mike Babcock wasn’t sure if he’ll be able to return on Sunday
  • Pittsburgh Penguins: Evgeni Malkin won’t join the team on their road trip. He’s progressing well and will skate with the team when they return.
  • Boston Bruins: Head coach Claude Julien confirmed that David Krejci will travel with the team on their road trip. Dan Rosen: GM Peter Chiarelli said there is a chance that Krejci could play this weekend.
  • Steve Zipay: Rangers Henrik Lundqvist is cleared to practice. He’ll likely return on the 26th and not the 24th.
  • Rob Mixer: Blue Jackets Brandon Dubinsky missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury.
  • Mark Stepneski: Stars defenseman John Klingberg will be good to go tonight. Alex Goligoski didn’t practice yesterday with an illness, but is expected to play today.
  • David Alter: Maple Leafs coach Peter Holland likely won’t be able to return until Monday at the earliest.
  • Chuck Gormley: Capitals Jay Beagle (upper-body) will be out for their next two days. Barry Trotz is hopeful he’ll be on back on the ice next week.
  • Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: Senators goalie Craig Anderson will be out at least a week, possibly more according to GM Bryan Murray. He shouldn’t require surgery. He has a deep bone bruise.

“They thought it was simply a bone bruise at the beginning,” Murray said. “They were doing an MRI to double-check and make sure there was nothing that they missed. What happens with a bone bruise is they say there’s an interior of the bone and there’s particles that break away. That cause of a lot pain sometimes.

“We suspect that might be the problem.”
