“This is as close to a full practice as he’s had,” Armstrong said. “We thought it would be around this time when he’d be back on the ice, so he’s on schedule. It’s good having just one game left and then a break. We’ll get back through Christmas and New Year’s and he’ll be able to really ramp it up at that point and see where he’s at.”
The Blues will get some cap relief as they’ve put on the LTIR. He has already passed the 10 game, 21 day minimum.
- Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times: Lightning’s Ben Bishop has been moved to questionable from doubtful for tonight’s game against the Penguins. He’s been out with a lower-body injury.
“He’s just getting back,” Cooper said. “He, even by his own accounts, is not 100 percent. If that’s going to leave a little bit of doubt, then we’ll have to see where he’s at tomorrow.”
- Bryan Burns: Lightning’s Jason Garrison wouldn’t say what his injury is, but said he’s improving and wouldn’t rule out playing tonight.
- Tom Gulitti: Devils coach Peter DeBoer said that they’ll wait till this morning to decide if Mike Cammalleri (groin) is ready to go tonight.
- Ansar Khan: Red Wings coach Mike Babcock thinks that Stephen Weiss will play tonight, but they won’t know fore sure until after the morning skate.
- Michael Russo: Wild’s Mikael Granlund is questionable tonight. Coach Mike Yeo said it’s not the mumps.
