  • Daniel Friedman: Islanders Kyle Okposo could be able to return to the lineup in the next seven to 10 days.
  • Mike Heika: Stars Tyler Seguin skated yesterday. He’s not ready to play and not sure what his timeline is right now.
  • Blue Jackets: Brandon Dubinsky will play tonight.
  • Jon Rosen: Kings Alec Martinez’s recovery is progressing. He’s been riding stationary bikes and they “have been good.” As reported earlier, he’ll need at least two strong days riding the bike before he can take the next step, which would be getting back on the ice.
  • Adam Vingan: Capitals Alex Ovechkin is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

  • Randy Sportak: Flames David Jones left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.
  • Brian Compton: The Islanders activate Eric Boulton and Casey Cizikas from the IR.
  • Tracey Myers: Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya skated again yesterday, but is doubtful for the weekend according to coach Joel Quenneville.
  • Joe Smith: Lightning coach Jon Cooper said that J.T. Brown is a little banged up, but it’s nothing serious.
  • Frank Seravalli: Flyers GM Ron Hextall said he has no idea why Terry Murray said that Shayne Gostisbehere has been shut down. Hextall said a decision on Gostisbehere hasn’t been made. He’ll see a doctor in two weeks.
