- Chris McCosky of the Detroit News: Red Wings Pavel Datsyuk missed his second consecutive game with a groin injury.
“I have no idea when Pav will be back,” coach Mike Babcock said Saturday.
Goalie Jonas Gustavsson will be out two months with a dislocated shoulder.
“You don’t want to be injured, but it’s part of hockey,” he said. “You just have to deal with it, stay positive and do all the right things to try and get back as quickly as possible.”
Stephen Weiss (groin) has been skating the past few days. He’s eligible to come off the IR for Friday’s game.
“I’ve got all next week to practice,” he said. “By Friday I should be ready. It’s just up to the coaches if I can get into the lineup or not.”
- Dave Isaac: Flyers Luke Schenn will be out for two weeks with a left shoulder injury.
- DJ Been: Bruins David Krejci is day-to-day. Torey Krug is a possibility for tonight.
- Anaheim Ducks: The Ducks have put Corey Perry on the IR and can activate him in time for Wednesday’s game.
- Wayne Scanlan: Senators Marc Methot will travel with the team on their Western road trip, but he is not expected to play. He will be rehabbing with their trainers.
- Mike Heika: The Stars put Valeri Nichushkin on the IR.
- Tom Gulitti: Devils Adam Henrique (lower-body), Jon Merrill (arm/hand) and Ryane Clowe (possible concussion) didn’t practice yesterday.
