On the New Jersey Devils …
- Tom Gulitti of the Record: Mike Cammalleri has an upper-body issue and coach John Hynes isn’t sure if he’ll be able to play tonight. He didn’t practice yesterday, but skated on his own.
“We’re just trying to make sure he feels well enough to play and we’re not going to push it,” Hynes said. “We have a lot of games coming up and we want to make sure we’re doing the right thing for the player and the team.”
Patrik Elias hasn’t skated since December 21st, but his right knee is making some progress.
“He’s still going through the process of his rehab and it’s touch and go on how it feels,” Hynes said. “It looks like he’s making some progression, but not enough (to get back on the ice).”
The status of Jacob Josefson’s sore left foot is still not known.
“It’s probably going to be another couple days until we have a real good idea what it is,” Hynes said.
