On the Montreal Canadiens …

Amanda Stein: Forward Alex Galchenyuk is out tonight and is day-to-day with a knee issue. It’s the same knee that caused him to miss 18 games earlier this season.

Brian Wilde: Galchenyuk re-aggravated his previous knee injury on Saturday night. He was able finish the game, but after having more in-depth tests, it showed there were issues.

On the Boston Bruins …

Joe Haggerty of CSNNE: Goaltender Tuukka Rask didn’t practice yesterday, a day after leaving a game with a migraine. Defensemen Colin Miller and Kevan Miller returned to practice yesterday. Defenseman Torey Krug didn’t practice.

Boston Bruins: Coach Claude Julien said that Tuukka Rask was being evaluated by doctors yesterday about his migraine/vision issues.

On the Washington Capitals …

Tom Gulitti: Coach Barry Trotz said yesterday that they will likely keep defenseman John Carlson out until after the All-Star break. He definitely won’t play tonight.

On the New York Islanders …

Arthur Staple: The Islanders were given the day off yesterday, but Andrew Ladd and Travis Hamonic skated. Ladd could be ready to return today, but Hamonic is still a ways off.

On the New Jersey Devils …

Chris Ryan: Forward Beau Bennett won’t be in the lineup tonight. Cory Schneider said he should be ready to go.

Andrew Gross: Defenseman Andy Greene (left arm) didn’t have a setback, but his recovery progress has stalled.

On the New York Rangers …

New York Rangers: Forward Kevin Hayes will be out two to three weeks with a lower-body injury.

Brett Cyrgalis: Coach Alain Vigneault said that Marc Staal has been “probably” cleared for contact. Team didn’t practice yesterday. He won’t be in the lineup on Wednesday.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Kristen Shilton: Defenseman Morgan Rielly skated yesterday, but is not ready to return. Forward Ben Smith also skated yesterday, but is not ready to return just yet.

On the Detroit Red Wings …

George Sipple: Forward Steve Ott (shoulder) wasn’t sure if he’ll be ready for tonight.

Nick Cotsonika: Thomas Vanek isn’t traveling with the team to Boston because of a lower-body injury. Dylan Larkin (upper-body) won’t be in lineup for their next two games.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Joe Smith: Coach Jon Cooper said that Victor Hedman‘s illness is now going through the team and staff. Defenseman Jason Garrison hasn’t skated since last Thursday, not known yet if he can play tonight.

Joe Smith: Forward J.T. Brown is progressing, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll be ready to return tonight.

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Paul Hamilton of WGR 550: Defenseman Dmitry Kulikov practiced yesterday, but left before practice was finished after taking a stick to the mouth. Coach Dan Bylsma.

“He would’ve skated with us earlier if we had been home, so he’s skated extremely hard for two days and had full contact, so we’ll see how he responds from that, but it bodes well for seeing him some time this week.”

Bylsma added that he could be in the lineup tonight.

Defenseman Jake McCabe (shoulder) didn’t practice yesterday.
