Corey Masisak of the Denver Post: Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

“He’s going to miss some time,” Avs coach Jared Bednar said. “He’s still being looked at and diagnosed, but he did not look comfortable.”

Avs defenseman Devon Toews missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury. On Saturday night in the third period, he crashed into the end boards and is going to miss some time, according to coach Bednar.

“He’s going to miss some time, too,” Bednar said. “I don’t know how much yet. He’ll stay with us on the trip, but he won’t play in Tampa. We’ll get him further evaluated, and we’ll figure out a timeline when we get back to Denver.”

Matthew Tkachuk Has a “Target-ish” Date For Return

Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk said that he’ll be travelling with the team on their road trip, but isn’t sure if he’ll play: “If it were to happen, it would probably be toward the end of it just because I’m still in the non-contact jersey. I don’t even have a target right now if that’s it or not.”

NHL: Panthers defenseman Seth Jones will be evaluated today. He suffered an upper-body injury on Saturday and is currently considered day-to-day.

David Pagnotta: Sources say that Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev is meeting this week with a surgeon to determine his next steps. If surgery is required, he’ll likely be out until late April/early May.

NHL: Washington Capitals will be further evaluated today after suffering a lower-body injury on Saturday. He didn’t practice yesterday.

NHL Rumors: New York Rangers, and the Edmonton Oilers

Caps forward Aliaksei Protas missed Saturday’s game and didn’t practice yesterday due to a lower-body injury.

Coach Spencer Carbery yesterday: “I’ll talk to (general manager) Chris (Patrick) later today about that,” Carbery said. “‘Willy’s’ being further evaluated, so we’ll have an update on him not today. Protas (is) day to day, so we’ll see where he’s at. But I don’t know the answer to that, yet.”
