Calgary Flames: The Flames have activated defenseman Zayne Parekh from the IR and loaned him to Canada’s U20 World Junior team.

NHL: Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard won’t be in the lineup tonight after suffering an injury with one second left in the game last night on a faceoff. Coach Jeff Blashill said that they’ll have an update on Monday, and added, “I think it’s a freak accident to be honest with you.”

Dave McCarthy: There are no plans for Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz to return to the ice in the near future.

Coach Craig Berube when asked if Stolarz’ season is in jeopardy, “I wouldn’t go there but he won’t be on the ice any time soon.”

Darren Dreger: Maple Leafs defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson will test his issue out this morning and will play if he feels good. He left in some pain on Thursday night.
