On Haggerty of CSNNE: Defenseman Adam McQuaid was sliced by David Backes skate close to his neck and took about 20 stitches on Saturday. He missed practiced yesterday but was cleared for tonight.
“It was a close call, and you can’t help but thank God that it wasn’t a scary situation,” said McQuaid. “I’m going to have to count because I’m getting asked a lot, but it’s somewhere around 20 or 25. I think I should be good to go barring any unforeseen circumstances.”

Michael Russo of the Star Tribune: Defenseman Christian Folin left after he crashed into the boards and appeared to injure either his right wrist or shoulder. Coach Bruce Boudreau hopes to know more after practice today but added after the game that “it didn’t look good.”

Ben Kuzma: Forward Loui Eriksson left last night’s game with a lower-body injury after taking a hit along the boards.
Vancouver Canucks: Coach Willie Desjardins didn’t have much of an update on Eriksson other than he is expected to be out for “a couple games.”
