On the Boston Bruins …

ESPN: Defenseman Colin Miller skated yesterday morning and there is a good chance he could return for Game 3. He left Game 1 with a lower-body injury.

Defensemen Torey Krug (knee) and Adam McQuaid (upper-body) didn’t skate yesterday.

Forward David Krejci remains day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Forward Noel Acciari (upper-body) appears to be ready to return.

“Noel was playing good hockey when he got hurt, so there’s a good chance he’ll draw back into the lineup,” Cassidy said.

Joe Haggerty: Defenseman Brandon Carlo skated yesterday morning. Coach Bruce Cassidy said that he’s “doubtful” for Game 3 but could be available soon.

Joe Haggerty of CSNNE: Coach Cassidy on Carlo and Miller.

“Colin Miller was skating and looking better, so there’s a potential ,” said Cassidy. “Carlo was out early and he did okay. Tomorrow is doubtful and maybe going forward is a bit of a target date . . .

“We would like to get our guys back as quickly as possible,” said Cassidy. “It’s mostly the back end that’s a little congested, so we’ll see how everybody takes it tomorrow and see if they can get through morning skate. After morning skate we’ll go from there.”

On the Ottawa Senators …

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen: Coach Guy Boucher said yesterday that defenseman Mark Borowiecki is day-to-day and his status for Game 3 will determined today. There is a possibility that he’ll play, but they could play it safe and keep him out and go with either Fredrik Claesson or Ben Harpur.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Mark Masters of TSN: Defenseman Nikita Zaitsev skated yesterday for the second straight day and then afterwards tweeted “See you soon Toronto” along with a video. He later deleted the tweet. He’s been out with a suspected concussion since their last game of the regular season on April 9th. If Zaitsev can’t go Alexey Marchenko will draw back in.

On the Columbus Blue Jackets …

Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: Defenseman Zach Werenski took a Phil Kessel shot to the face in the second period. He was able to return in the third, but couldn’t play in OT as his right eye was swollen shut.
