On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports: Coyotes GM John Chayka confirmed that Brad Richardson broke his tibia and fibula during Thursday night’s game. He had surgery yesterday morning and is “stabilized.”

“We’re still waiting to see what the plan of care is,” Chayka said via text message. “No timeline (for recovery) has been set.”

Richardson’s season could be over. Christian Dvorak and Dylan Strome could see more playing time with Richardson out.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Curtis Zupka: Anze Kopitar, Marian Gaborik and Andy Andreoff were all skating at practice yesterday, but not taking part in line rushes.

Jon Rosen: Jeff Zatkoff said he’s ready, but that it’s up to the coach’s as to when he gets back in.

On the Chicago Blackhawks …

Chris Hine: Vincent Hinostroza suffered a concussion on Tuesday and was on bed rest. He was cleared to play on Friday.

On the San Jose Sharks …

Kevin Kurz: Forward Tomas Hertl returned to San Jose to have an MRI according to coach Pete DeBoer. After looking at the replays, looks like it’s his right knee again.

On the St. Louis Blues …

STL Blues News: The Blues are hopeful that Alex Steen can return today.

On the Dallas Stars …

Dallas Stars: Coach Lindy Ruff expects forward Patrick Sharp to return to the lineup today.

On the Minnesota Wild …

Dane Mitzutani: Defenseman Marco Scandella was on the ice yesterday. He’s eligible to come off the LTIR on Wednesday and it’s looking like he could return then.

On the Edmonton Oilers …

Jason Gregor: Matt Hendricks, Drake Caggiula, Kris Russell and Brandon Davidson could all return to the Oilers lineup within the next week. Davidson is hoping for the 25th.
