On the Anaheim Ducks …

Eric Stephens: Coach Randy Carlyle said that forward Patrick Eaves (upper-body) should skate at practice today and be ready for Game 1.

Eric Stephens of the OC Register: Eaves left their last game in the second period after taking a cross check.

Hampus Lindholm returned on the weekend after missing three games with an upper-body injury.

Nate Thompson also return to the lineup after missing Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury.

On the San Jose Sharks …

Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area: Both Joe Thornton and Logan Couture practiced yesterday. There were no indications yesterday if either are able to play in Game 1 on Wednesday against the Oilers. Thornton lasted about 30 minutes before leaving. Couture lasted the entire hour-plus session.

Couture skated in a regular jersey and with Joe Pavelski and Melker Karlsson.

Thornton skated mostly with the fourth line options.

Thornton said last week that ther ewas “no doubt” that he would be ready for Game 1.

Coach Pete DeBoer said that both Thornton and Couture were day-to-day.

“I thought looked good, yeah. It was a good skate for him, a good first step coming back. So, it’s good.”

Couture took a puck to the face back on March 25th and is wearing a full cage.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen going forward,” Couture said. “I’m still, I guess you could say, day-to-day. We’ll go from there. If the game was today I don’t know if I would play. If it was tomorrow, I don’t know. So, we’ll see.”

On the St. Louis Blues …

Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: The Blues aren’t saying much about their injured players. Forward Paul Stastny has been out for 10 games after taking a shot off his foot. The Blues aren’t saying if he’s skating or not skating. Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo (upper-body) is skating, with coach Mike Yeo saying “we’ll see.”

On the Nashville Predators …

Thomas Willis: Forward Calle Jarnkrok (lower-body) didn’t practice yesterday.

Thomas Willis: Defenseman Yannick Weber (upper-body) practiced yesterday.

On the Chicago Blackhawks …

Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times: Coach Joel Quenneville said that forward Artem Anisimov will be ready to go for Game 1.

‘‘I don’t know if doubt at all,’’ Quenneville said. ‘‘He’s good to go.’’

Defenseman Michal Rozsival (upper-body) and Andrew Desjardins (lower-body) are day-to-day.
