Rachel Lenzi: Buffalo Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said that forward Sam Carrick has a left arm injury and is being evaluated. They should know today the extent of it. The players didn’t sound too upbeat when talking about Carrick’s injury.

Ben Pope: Chicago Blackhawks coach Jeff Blashill said that defensemen Artyom Levshunov and Matt Grzelcyk are both done for the season.

NHL: Blackhawks forward Andrew Mangiapane could travel with the team when they leave on their road trip, or possibly join them during the trip. He’s been out since March 19th with an upper-body injury.

Emily Kaplan: The injury to Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar isn’t believed to be long-term, but there’s no timeline yet.
