Michael Russo: Zach Parise‘s eye is “really swollen” but coach Bruce Boudreau it’s more of an upper-body injury than en eye injury.
Michael Russo: Ryan Suter said that Parise doesn’t look good but it may not be as bad as they initially feared. Suter added: “We need him back fast. He’s starting to play really well.”
On the San Jose Sharks …
Curtis Pashelka of the San Jose Mercury News: Forward Logan Couture lost a couple teeth on the weekend after taking a puck to the face. GM Doug Wilson said he able to talk and eat and didn’t require his jaw to be wired shut. It’s not known yet when Couture will be able to return.

Ken Wiebe: Coach Paul Maurice said they will make a decision on whether defenseman Paul Postma (lower-body) will require surgery.
