On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Andersen: Defenseman Anthony DeAngelo won’t play this weekend after suffering a lower-body injury.

On the Anaheim Ducks …

Curtis Zupke: Coach Randy Carlyle said that Max Jones is day-to-day with a bruised shoulder.

On the Dallas Stars …

Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News: Dallas Stars winger Mattias Janmark will be out a minimum of five to six months after having knee surgery to fix an issue of osteochondritis dissecans. The issue is “described as a joint disorder where cracks form in the cartilage and bone, causing blood deprivation to the bone.”

GM Jim Nill said the it’s a genetic condition and there is an 80 percent chance of full recovery.

“What happened with Mattias is he had a small segment, approximately 21 millimeters by 11 millimeters that became displaced and is locked in his knee,” Nill said, adding that the doctor “is going to take that bone segment and re-attach it to the area where it came from. It’s the bone and the cartilage, they both came off together.”

…

“Healing and rehabilitation is approximately five to six months,” Nill said. “Possible return in April, we’re looking at maybe being available during the playoffs. We’ll have to play that by ear.”
