On the Chicago Blackhawks …

Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times: Captain Jonathan Toews left last night’s game in the second period. Coach Joel Quenneville said it was an upper-body injury and they should now more today. They are hopeful it’s “nothing long term or serious” and that he’ll be able to play in their final two games of their road trip.

Chris Hine: Forward Marcus Kruger left last nigh’ts game briefly as he was pulled by a concussion spotter.

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Sarah McLellan: Coach Dave Tippett said that Craig Cunningham is still in stable, but critical condition.

On the Dallas Stars …

Mike Heika: Defenseman Johnny Oduya is out with a lower-body injury, but could return on Monday.

On the Colorado Avalanche …

Mike Chambers: Gabriel Landeskog skated yesterday morning on his own. He’ll skate again today and could return on Saturday.

On the Boston Bruins …

Joe Haggerty: Coach Claude Julien said that defenseman Zdeno Chara is “doubtful” for their next two games.

Stephen Harris: Chara has a lower-body injury.

Boston Bruins: Julien on defenseman Kevan Miller: “He was just cleared. We have some decisions to make before tomorrow’s game.”

Boston Bruins: Julien on forward David Pastrnak: “He’s traveling, was cleared for full practice. Unless there’s a setback, I’d anticipate him playing tomorrow.”

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Sam Carchidi: Sean Couturier is out four to six weeks.

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Mike Harrington: Coach Dan Bylsma on forward Jack Eichel: “We’re starting to see the end is getting near.” There is no timetable on his return, but Harrington guesses Eichel is three to five games away.

On the New Jersey Devils …

Mike Morreale: Coach John Hynes said that Kyle Palmieri is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Erik Erlendsson: Brian Boyle is day-to-day with an undisclosed upper-body injury.

On the Montreal Canadians …

Renaud Lavoie: Nathan Beaulieu left the hospital yesterday morning.

Amanda Stein: Coach Michel Therrien said that Nathan Beaulieu still had tests to undergo and they are not sure how long he could be out for.

Renaud Lavoie: Brian Flynn will be out for at least another week.
