On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Joe Smith: Forward Vladislav Namestnikov left last night’s game after re-aggravated his lower-body injury. He’ll be re-evaluated today.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Mark Masters: Forward Tyler Bozak worked out off-ice yesterday and is expected to play tonight. Coach Mike Babcock on the injury that Bozak has been battling through it: “We’ll manage that the best we can”

Mark Masters: Mike Bobcock on defenseman Connor Carrick: “a ways away. Wasn’t really involved in any contact here today.”

On the New Jersey Devils …

Andrew Gross: Coach John Hynes said that forwards Devante Smith-Pelly (lower-body), Mike Cammalleri (shoulder) and Jacob Josefson (upper-body) won’t be in the lineup tonight. Travis Zajac will be in the lineup.

Andrew Gross: Cammalleri skated by himself yesterday. Josefson isn’t skating yet.

On the Florida Panthers …

Jameson Olive: Coach/GM Tom Rowe said that Aaron Ekblad and Denis Malgin will be out a week to 10 days.

On the Ottawa Senators …

Bruce Garrioch: Dorion said that Kyle Turris will likely return tonight. They are hopeful that Bobby Ryan is able to return this week.

Bruce Garrioch: GM Pierre Dorion was on TSN 1200 and said that forward Mark Stone is week-to-week with a lower-body injury. He’ll be out for their next three games.

Chris Stevenson: Dorion on Stone’s injury: “I was led to believe it could have been much worse and I didn’t have much sleep when I was told it could have been much worse. Now we know he will be back at a certain point in time.”

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Sam Werner of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Defenseman Mark Streit left last night’s game early after blocking a shot. Streit went to the hospital for further evaluation. Coach Mike Sullivan only said that it’s a lower-body injury.

On the Columbus Blue Jackets …

Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: Defenseman Ryan Murray had surgery yesterday to repair his broken right hand. He is expected to be out for four to six weeks. Coach John Tortorella expects him to play again this season.

“Oh, absolutely,” Tortorella said. “We’re going to be really diligent with him.
“We’re going to get him on the ice as quickly as possible when the doctors give us the go-ahead, so he has his legs when he does get back into the lineup. We need to be really diligent there because I think he can be a really important guy” in the Stanley Cup playoffs.”

Four weeks would put Murray one day after their regular season is over.

Forwards Matt Calvert and Josh Anderson are returning to the lineup.
