Doctors found out what was causing the issue – scar tissue – and the good news is the labrum is intact. It is not expected to be a career threatening injury.

Kristen Shilton of TSN: Mitch Marner is getting close to returning to the lineup, but isn’t there yet. He was on the ice yesterday and took part in some drills.
He’s missed the past three games and won’t be ready to return tonight. He could return on Saturday.
Defenseman Connor Carrick is listed as day-to-day after leaving Tuesday’s game in the first period.

Coach Mike Sullivan said he’ll be evaluated with they get back to Pittsburgh and they are hopeful that he it “won’t be anything significant,”
