Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun: Goaltender Ondrej Pavelec had arthroscopic knee surgery yesterday and could be out up to a month.
“The normal window is two to three weeks for a player,” head coach Paul Maurice said. “When you get to a goaltender, you have to expand that window, for just the movements. I won’t be lying to you if it’s longer.”
It’s likely that the pending unrestricted free agent Pavelec has played his last game with the Jets.

Brian Hedger: Niklas Hjalmarsson and coach Joel Quenneville expect him to play on Thursday.
Tracey Myers: Hjarlmarsson and Johnny Oduya will skate today and “likely, good chance they could play on Thursday” according to Quenneville.
