Adam Vingan of The Tennessean: Predators defenseman P.K. Subban addressed the media yesterday morning about his injury. He missed his eighth consecutive game with an upper-body injury. Subban tried to play through but was pulled from their lineup.
“I remember playing a couple games and battling through it,” said Subban, who will serve as the captain of the Central Division team at the NHL All-Star Game later this month if he is healthy enough to participate. “Probably the (last) five games before I was actually taken out were pretty tough for me.
“It got to the point where everybody decided that that was what was best. After you miss a game, it (stinks). You see games go by and you want to get back in there. But at the same (time), you’ve got to do what’s best for the team and what’s best for yourself.”
