More will be known about Rick Nash's groin injury today

On the New York Rangers …

New York Rangers: Coach Alain Vigneault said that Rick Nash tweaked his groin and they should know more about his status today. Matt Puempel is out with a concussion.

Brett Cyrgalis: Pavel Buchnevich‘s rehab is going well and he could return in the “two-three range,” according to Vigneault.

On the Carolina Hurricanes …

Chip Alexander: Hurricanes forward Jordan Staal (concussion) skated on his own on Monday, but “it didn’t go great,” according to coach Bill Peters. Staal has missed their past four games and it’s unlikely that he’d travel with the team on their three-game West Coast road trip.

Elias Lindholm practiced yesterday in a no-contract jersey. He’s missed the past two games with a lower-body injury.

On the Washington Capitals …

Tom Gulitti: Capitlas forward T.J. Oshie said it’s not official that he’ll return tonight. Is feeling good with no limitations.

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Paul Hamilton: Jack Eichel continues to play, but he has a sore hip to go along with his ankle.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Sam Carchidi: Defenseman Radko Gudas has been out with the flu. He skated yesterday and could of played last night, but another full practice today will get him ready for Thursday.

On the Florida Panthers …

Harvey Fialkov: Defenseman Keith Yandle is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury. He took an Aaron Ekblad shot off of his foot.

Harvey Fialkov: Coach Tom Rowe said that Yandle will be out for two weeks.

Harvey Fialkov: Heard in the pressbox that Aleksander Barkov has a nagging injury. Will try to find out more today.

On the Detroit Red Wings …

Dana Wakiji: Coach Jeff Blashill said that both Jimmy Howard and Andreas Athanasiou could return to practice tomorrow.

Ted Kulfan: It’s possible that defenseman Alexey Marchenko could also return to practice.

On the New Jersey Devils …

Matt Loughlin: The Devils activated Beau Bennett from the IR.

On the Ottawa Senators …

Darren Dreger: It’s not sounding like Curtis Lazar‘s injury is serious. Shouldn’t miss too much time.
