Steve Conroy: Boston Bruins forward Tanner Jeannot is sick.

Matthew Fairburn: Buffalo Sabres defenseman Michael Kesselring should be in the lineup on Thursday. Forward Peyton Krebs is sick. Forward Jason Zucker won’t be back until after Christmas. Forward Justin Danforth is still recovering from a broken kneecap that he suffered in October.

Robby Stanley: Carolina Hurricanes forward Jordan Martinook left last night’s game in the second period with a lower-body injury.

George Richards: Florida Panthers forward Evan Rodrigues left last night’s game in the first period, came back for the second, and then left again in the third. He suffered a lower-body injury from a hit along the boards. Coach Paul Maurice didn’t think it was too serious.

NHL Rumors: Quinn Hughes Was Always Leaving Vancouver and Had Trade Protection

Nicolas J. Cotsonika: The Panthers aren’t sure if forward Matthew Tkachuk will be ready to return for the Winter Classic on January 2nd.

“The prognosis is the same that I said at the beginning of the season,” Zito said at the stadium while workers began preparations for the event. “They told me around Christmas, so I don’t know what that means. He’ll play when he’s ready.”

Nick Kieser: Nashville Predators forward Cole Smith (upper-body) was activated from the IR. He’s been out for 19 games.

Robby Stanley: Predators forward Jonathan Marchessault left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Paul Del Santos: New Jersey Devils defenseman Brett Pesce returned to the lineup last night after missing the past 24 games with a hand injury.

TSN 1200 Ottawa:  Ottawa Senators forward Shane Pinto has started skating, according to coach Travis Green. He’s recovering from a lower-body injury.

TSN 1200 Ottawa: Senators coach Green said that defenseman Thomas Chabot shouldn’t be out much longer. He won’t be in the lineup tonight. Forward Lars Eller will be out for another three weeks with a broken foot. Goaltender Linus Ullmark and defenseman Jake Sanderson left practice early yesterday, but there is nothing to worry about there.

Philadelphia Flyers: Forward Tyson Foerster had surgery on his arm on Monday and will be out for five months.

Emerald City Hockey: Seattle Kraken defenseman Brandon Montour was being evaluated yesterday for an injury suffered on Tuesday night. He’s not expected to be in the lineup tonight.

NHL Rumors: Avalanche, Rangers, Canucks, and Flames

Danny Webster: Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel (illness) and defenseman Shea Theodore (upper-body) missed last night’s game and are day-to-day.

  • Jesse Granger: Although coach Bruce Cassidy didn’t come out and say it, it’s sounding like Eichel will be more than than just last night.
