On the Winnipeg Jets …

Sara Orlesky: Defenseman Tyler Myers had lower-body surgery on Monday. It’s not the hip/knee that he had done last year. He’s expected to be out six to eight weeks.

Sara Orlesky: Coach Paul Maurice didn’t give much of an update on Ondrej Pavelec. He will be examined by a doctor, but they don’t think the lower-body injury is serious.

On the Colorado Avalanche …

Colorado Avalanche: Matt Nieto was able to get up on his own, but went straight to the locker room with the trainer.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Vancouver Canucks: Canucks forward Anton Rodin had knee surgery yesterday and will be out for approximately six months.

“After a period of rest, rehabilitation and follow up consults, our medical staff, Anton and Dr. Miniaci decided that surgery offered the most definitive means to address the health of his knee,” said Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning. “This has been a difficult process for Anton but he is determined to make a complete recovery and has our full support.”

Vancouver Canucks: Forward Sven Baertschi left last night’s game with a concussion.
