On the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche and Gabriel Landeskog …

Adrian Dater: Have heard that the Avalanche and Bruins have talked about Gabriel Landeskog. Avs GM Joe Sakic asked for Brandon Carlo, and the Bruins said no. The Bruins countered with Jakub Zboril, but he is too unproven.

Adrian Dater: Zboril, Joe Morrow, Jake DeBrusk and the Bruins No. 1 draft pick could be part of a potential package for Landeskog.

Kevin Paul Dupont: Landeskog carries a $5.5 million salary cap hit. The Bruins can’t take on that contract without moving a player to two.

Adrian Dater: The Avalanche are definitely listening to trade offers for Landeskog.

On the Arizona Coyotes and Martin Hanzal …

Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic: Center Martin Hanzal is in the final year of his five-year, $15.5 million deal.

“I’m just trying to focus on hockey and help the team win hockey games,” the 29-year-old said. “That’s something I can’t control anyways, something that’s going to take care of itself, and see how it works out.”

The Coyotes and Hanzal talked extension during the summer, and Hanzal has said he open to talking contract during the season. In October Hanzal said he didn’t want to talk during the season, but that appear to have changed. Hanzal added that his camp and the Coyotes are “not really talking right now.”

Hanzal has a modified no-trade clause. On the trade deadline.

“That’s usually when some moves are going to happen,” he said. “If you’re a free agent after the season, that’s usually when the team decides if the team wants to keep you or trade you. We’ll see what happens.”

GM John Chayka said he’s open to keeping Hanzal, but he could also move him. They haven’t received a serious offer for him yet.

“I want to stay here,” he said. “That’s the priority, but we have to be on the same page – both sides. If they want me, I’ll be happy to stay here. But if not, I gotta move on.”
