Could the Bruins consider moving Tuukka Rask at some point?
Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston: Jaroslav Halak will be a better backup to Tuukka Rask than Anton Khudobin was, and should push Rask. The Bruins haven’t had a backup under Rask that could threaten his position as No. 1.

“I think we have two guys that have carried the ball for their teams, that will push each other, that will complement each other, and we feel good that now going in every night. That is an area we aren’t going to be concerned about, hopefully. Obviously, it’s the performance now.”
On the pure speculation side of things with Halak signed for two years, but what if a big offer for Rask is presented to the Bruins? The Bruins are paying Halak $2.75 million a season and Rask at $7 million.
Rask has an eight-team trade list this season and up to 15 teams for the following year.
There has been lots of speculation about moving Torey Krug if they are able to fill another need, so there is no reason to at least not consider Rask as well.
Tyler Seguin in line for a big contract extension …
Mike Heika of the DallasStars.com: The Dallas Stars were one of the teams able to talk with John Tavares. They’ve been in trade talks with the Senators about Erik Karlsson. Players are interested in playing with the organization, and ownership appears will to spend.
Stars forward Tyler Seguin has a year left on his contract and would be a UFA after next season. Seguin said he’s leaving all that to his reps.
“My focus is I have another year with the Dallas Stars, so there is no real thought of thinking of other teams or thinking of free agency,” Seguin said. “My focus is getting ready to play this year.”
Seguin continued that he loves it in Dallas and his number one goal is to remain.
Jamie Benn is currently the Stars highest paid player at $9.5 million a season. guesses that the Stars would rather not have any make more than that.
Nikita Kucherov‘s eight-year, $9.5 million per season deal would be a good comparable.
