Calgary Flames GM Brad Treliving on Dougie Hamilton trade rumors

On the Boston Bruins …

Jimmy Murphy: Source saying the Bruins aren’t close to any trades involving David Krejci, David Backes, Torey Krug or Tuukka Rask: “All chatter at this point, but Boston definitely looking to do something!”

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Bob McKenzie: The Sabres are not expected to qualify goaltender Robin Lehner, which would then make him an unrestricted free agent. The Sabres will be looking to find someone to go with Linus Ullmark.

On the Calgary Flames …

Kristen Anderson: Flames GM Brad Treliving when asked about the rumors that he’s shopping defenseman Dougie Hamilton: “No. There’s lots of stuff that’s reported at this time. We don’t comment on that stuff. When I hear about that stuff, it usually comes out late at night when people have been into the red wine…”

Pat Steinberg: GM Treliving said that he could move back into the first-round but the cost is too high right now.

Kristen Anderson: GM Treliving: “We have a lot of proposals we’ve put out there. We’ve got a lot of lines in the water. We’re accepting offers. We’re making offers. Now whether anything formalizes, I don’t know.”

On the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres …

Amir Basu: Pierre McGuire: “I know for a fact the Canadiens are in on Ryan O’Reilly, they’re competing with Carolina, Philadelphia, Minnesota for him. I’ll leave it at that, those are the ones I know for sure.”

On the Montreal Canadiens …

Amir Basu: McGuire: “I think there is an appetite around the league for Phil Danault, if the Canadiens were looking to deal him. His name has been brought up to me by more than one GM.”

On the Vancouver Canucks …

TSN Radio Vancouver: Matt Sekeres on the Canucks: “I believe the #canucks once they get to 7, will get on the horn with two teams, Chicago at 8 and the Rangers at 9…and the Canucks will consider moving down one or two spots, depending on what the Blackhawks and Rangers would offer.”

TSN Radio Vancouver: Sekeres continues: I think if Brady Tkachuk is available at 7, Canucks will take Tkachuk and eschew trading down. Same for Filip Zadina, but I don’t think he’ll be available. I do not believe the #Canucks are hot to trot on Evan Bouchard. I think they have Dobson higher ranked.”
