LeBrun on the Canadiens, Duchene, and Sabres
Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic: Montreal Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin: “I’d like to add a D, and up front, if it can make our team better, I sure will,”
Bergevin inquired about Philadelphia Flyers left-handed defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere. He has four years left at $4.5 million and would be a perfect fit. Cost to acquire would be high.
Matt Duchene would get interest from the Nashville Predators, Dallas Stars, Arizona Coyotes and Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Buffalo Sabres remain interested in New York Rangers Jimmy Vesey. The Sabres may be looking to see what other potential top-six wingers are available on the trade market.
