Reason for Panarin signing with the Panthers … Trade and free agent options for the Devils
Dan Rosen of NHL.com: (mailbag) Believe the Florida Panthers will be the ones to sign Artemi Panarain. Reasons for being able to sign him include being familiar with coach Joel Quenneville, playing with either Aleksander Barkov or Vincent Trocheck and being a teammate of good friend Evgenii Dadonov. Landing a goalie like Sergei Bobrovsky would also help, same with the weather and no state income tax.
Some potential free agent or trade targets for the New Jersey Devils.
A potential trade target could include Nashville Predators defenseman P.K. Subban. It may cost them Damon Severson or Will Butcher in the trade but would be worth it.
Other names that may interest the Devils on the trade market include Jacob Trouba, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and J.T. Miller.
Potential free agents for the Devils include Jeff Skinner, Jordan Eberle, Erik Karlsson, Jake Gardiner and Tyler Myers.
