The Carolina Hurricanes, Detroit Red Wings, and Los Angeles Kings could have interest in Pettersson. The Canucks would need a center to come back in a package. They need someone to play there now if they move Pettersson. Could Jesperi Kotkaniemi be a placeholder for now?
DeBrusk has five years left at a $5.5 million cap hit and can play anywhere in the top nine.
