  • Andy Strickland: Some agents saying the free agent talking period is too long and that only two days are needed.
  • Scott Cullen: “Impressed that teams aren’t giving qualifying offers to every RFA. Better to make decisions & live with them rather than go on auto-pilot..”
  • Adam Vingan of the Washington Post: Three names that should be atop the Capitals wish list. Christian Ehrhoff, Anton Stralman and Tomas Vokoun.
  • Renaud Lavoie: Thomas Vanek has shortened his list to four, possibly five teams. John Shannon: Vanek was to get his list down to four or teams by last night.
  • Chris Nichols: Bob McKenzie reporting the Flames have presented Mike Cammalleri number of different options on term and money.
  • David Pagnotta: There is lots of interest in Cammalleri. The Flames would like to keep him, but he might get a better deal somewhere else. The Canucks are not in the mix.
  • Will DePaoli: Word is Jarome Iginla expanded his list to include the Lightning, Red Wings, Wild and Anaheim. The Wings and Lightning seem the most likely.
  • Elliotte Friedman: Doesn’t look like the Coyotes and Radim Vrbata were able to get a deal done last night and he’ll got the open market today.
  • Darren Dreger: A two-year deal for Mike Weaver makes sense.
