Dennis Bernstein: The Kings are expected to keep their core defense intact. They won’t trade from their core for forward help. They are targeting Joe Thornton and Justin Williams and a cheaper veteran defenseman.
David Pagnotta: It appears the Kings are going all in with Thornton and Williams. It’s unlikely they are trading Dustin Brown, but they may look to move another forward.

Darren Dreger: There have been multiple teams that have contacted Stephane Da Costa. He’s sent the past three season in the KHL and 100 percent wants to play in the NHL next year.
On Alexander Radulov, the Florida Panthers and Jarome Iginla …
Luke Fox of Sportsnet: Renaud Lavoie was on Sportsnet yesterday and said that Alexander Radulov is still looking for six years at $7 million a season. 12 teams have inquired and he hasn’t ruled out returning the Montreal Canadiens.
The Canadiens should be okay with walking away from Radulov at those numbers.
Lavoie said that Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin reached out to Radulov about joining the Penguins on a short-term deal. Radulov though his looking to score a big contract.
Reports are that Florida Panther GM Dale Tallon was told to shed $10 million salary. Tallon has said the reports are “not true.” They exposed Jonathan Marchessault and traded Reilly Smith to the Vegas Golden Knights – moving out $5.75 million salary. The Panthers could also be willing to trade right handed defenseman Jason Demers and his $4.5 million cap hit.
Jarome Iginla’s agent wouldn’t say if teams were inquiring.
