Panarin okay signing a lesser deal if he doesn’t have a good season
Igor Eronko: Columbus Blue Jackets forward Artemi Panarin said to Sport Express that he isn’t thinking about a contract extension as insurance. If he doesn’t have a good season, he’s okay to sign a lesser contract. He didn’t say where. Money is not a big issue for the Blue Jackets.
Blue Jackets may have an idea where else Bobrovsky would consider playing
Chris Nichols of Nichols on Hockey: Elliotte Friedman was on the NHL Network and was talking about the Columbus Blue Jackets and Sergei Bobrovsky. Friedman notes that Bobrovsky has the worst save percentage, the second worst goals-against average, he looks unhappy and it could have an effect on the team.
“But I think Columbus is looking at this and saying, ‘Do we have to consider the possibility that we have to move him for the sake of the room?’ I think that’s being discussed. And he has a no-move clause, but word around is that he has at least told Columbus that there are some teams he will consider moving to. I don’t know if that means an extension or just a rental, but I think Columbus has some idea of where Bobrovsky would be potentially willing to go if they could make a deal.”
