On the Minnesota Wild …
Subject to change in next 30 minutes, of course, but it doesn’t look like MIN will deal any of their D men — Brodin or Scandella.

If not, two of Brodin, Scandella, Dumba would have to be exposed in expansion draft. MIN could try to do deal with VGK to lay off those D.

Whatever happens, based on exp draft/cap issues/pos’n needs etc., it’s a decent bet RFA Erik Haula is not likely to be back with MIN.

If MIN is able to do deal with VGK to lay off a D, the Wild have a very deep pool of F prospects to choose from if they deem D a priority.

Would be interesting to see what kind of price George McPhee can pry out of #MNWild to not take a D-man, land Vegas native Jason Zucker. https://t.co/Mja3duQumK

Marco Scandella, BTW, more so than Jonas Brodin, has been MTL’s primary trade target.
— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) June 17, 2017
Speaking of Minnesota, they were deep into the race on Jonathan Drouin.
— Eric Engels (@EricEngels) June 17, 2017
They were in heavy pursuit and felt they had a very strong chance of landing him.

On the Montreal Canadiens and Minnesota Wild …
Bergevin is very actively looking to move Galchenyuk and Beaulieu. Nothing imminent with Minnesota, but lots of chatter between both teams.
— Eric Engels (@EricEngels) June 17, 2017
For all the talk about Brodin, Habs would covet Scandella.

On the San Jose Sharks …
If you’re among those who presume there are “handshake deals” with Sharks and 19/12 for after expansion draft: that’s wishful thinking.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …
Awfully quiet on #Leafs front. I agree w/@FriedgeHNIC, they could do something “big” & maybe that explains why it’s quiet? 👀
