How can Julien survive?
Jack Todd: Could be wrong but don’t see how Montreal Canadiens head coach Claude Julien survives this. “He surely knows. And if you know him, you know he has done everything in his power to turn it around”
Canadiens haven’t spoken with Hartley
Igor Eronko: Avangard’s (KHL) head coach Bob Hartley said that their team president misunderstood his comments: “I’m getting a million of phone calls from Montreal. It’s very sad because they have a coach. No one from the Montreal Canadiens have called me. And I’m happy with Avangard.”
- Aivis Kalnins: It is surprising that more clarification that the sides haven’t spoken: “Bob is under contract with Avangard and he is also committed to coaching Latvian national team at least until after the Winter Olympics”
Igor Eronko: Maxim Sushinsky, Avangard’s president, has said to TASS that Montreal Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin never met up with Bob Hartley in Russia but that they did speak on the phone.
