Smith to sign with Edmonton

Perry getting a lot of interest
Frank Seravalli: 10 teams are showing interest in Corey Perry and there are some intriguing options for him.
He is shrinking his list down to three or four teams today.
There were a couple of teams the joined the race today an finding out they were out on other free agents.
- Kevin Kurz: The San Jose Sharks need another winger even if Patrick Marleau returns. Could they possibly sign Perry?
Could be a quiet free agent day now for the Coyotes
Craig Morgan: Getting the sense that it will now be a quiet free agent period for the Arizona Coyotes are acquiring Phil Kessel and Carl Soderberg.
They may only have one roster spot open assuming they re-sign RFA Lawson Crouse and Barrett Hayton makes their opening day roster.
The last spot could go to a forward on a two-way contract.
Craig Morgan: Maybe Nick Merkley gets a shot or they bring in someone later this offseason.
GM John Chayka will keep looking/making calls but their roster may be set.
