Trade deadline buyers and sellers for the Western Conference

Scott Burnside of ESPN: Looking at who could be buyers and sellers at the NHL deadline, and who could be good fits for them.

Anaheim Ducks – Any trade would need to be money-in, money-out. Don’t expect a big move. Could get calls on Shea Theodore, Jacob Larsson and Brandon Montour.

Arizona Coyotes – They will be selling Martin Hanzal, Radim Vrbata and maybe Shane Doan.

Calgary Flames – Not out of playoff race yet. Teams could call about Dougie Hamilton. Marc-Andre Fleury would be a good fit.

Chicago Blackhawks – Good fit could be Patrick Sharp or a veteran forward.

Colorado Avalanche – They need to get the maximum return on any deal they make. They need to add to the their future blueline. Could be selling Gabriel Landeskog, Matt Duchene and Jarome Iginla.

Dallas Stars – Teams could be calling for Patrick Sharp and Johnny Oduya. Marc-Andre Fleury and Ben Bishop would be good fits.

Edmonton Oilers – Martin Hanzal or Jarome Iginla could be forward options, Kevin Shattenkirk on the blueline.

Los Angeles Kings – May not want to give up a high draft pick or a top asset. Jarome Iginla would be a good fit.

Minnesota Wild – Could use a 4th-line center and/or a top nine winger. Good fits would be Shane Doan and Jarome Iginla.

Nashville Predators – Could add some offense, but won’t want to give up prime assets. Thomas Vanek could be an option.

St. Louis Blues – Their goaltending has been a mess this season. Teams could call on Kevin Shattenkirk. Marc-Andre Fleury or Ben Bishop would be good fits.

San Jose Sharks – Could use a veteran backup goalie. Jaroslav Halak or Ondrej Pavelec could be options.

Vancouver Canucks – Even though in the playoff race, they will be getting calls. Teams could be interested in pending free agent Alexandre Burrows.

Winnipeg Jets – Teams could be calling for Drew Stafford and Mathieu Perreault. Gabriel Landeskog would be a good fit.
