NHL Trade: The Senators, Penguins and Golden Knights Make a Three-Team Trade … Finally

Derick Brassard finally traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in a three team trade.

The Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins and Vegas Golden Knights have reworked their trade after the NHL rejected their first go around.

To Pittsburgh: Center Derick Brassard, forward Vincent Dunn, 2018 3rd round pick (OTT), and prospect Tobias Lindberg.

To Ottawa: 2018 1st round pick (PIT), 2019 3rd round pick (PIT)defenseman Ian Cole, goaltender Filip Gustavsson.

To Vegas: Ryan Reaves, a 2018 4th round pick (from Pittsburgh via Vancouver), and are retaining 40 percent of Brassard’s cap hit/salary.

Brassard $3.3 million cap hit to Penguins …. Cole and Reaves a combined $3.2 million cap hit.
