  • Renaud Lavoie: NHLPA leader Don Fehr told The Hockey News last week that he expects another lockout at the end of this CBA. Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly to Lavoie on Fehr’s prediction:  “Its a fairly naive and uneducated view of the situation particularly as it relates to this League’s collective bargaining history and the reasons why we have have endured work stoppages in the past.  Don’s musings are also entirely inconsistent with his own collective bargaining history, which is highlighted by his own precipitation of repeated work stoppages and unprecedented labor strife in a “uncapped” sports league.”
  • Allan Walsh: “Probably the most uninformed, misleading and intellectually dishonest statement from Bill Daly in the history of sports pro sports. Looks like Bill Daly is in search of another hill for the next NHL lockout to be announced by the NHL on Sept. 15, 2020. Write it down.”
